River's Edge Goat Dairy

After a lifetime of living with family that had environmental allergies, severe asthma, food allergies and sensitivities to skin care products Katie Normet created River’s Edge Goat Dairy. She started in 2001 with 20 milking goats and now a herd of 75 produce milk used to create a variety of products such as goat milk soaps and lotions, goat milk, kefir, yogurt and over 25 varieties of cheese to fill the need for food that will not irritate the body. Grass-fed and slowly handmade with care are how the magic is created at River’s Edge Goat Dairy.

Eby Family Honey

Beekeeping is fascinating. There is so much to learn, so much to see, and so much to do. The bees are constantly busy, and it is just amazing watching them work. I get a little excited every time I pull up to the bee yard. I can't wait to see what they have been up to. I was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome when I was 7 years old. Tourette Syndrome encompasses so much more than the typical "tics" that are so often connected with the Syndrome. For me, my body always feels busy and the ADHD, OCD and anxiety that comes with Tourette Syndrome make it difficult for me to concentrate, focus and to even relax. Beekeeping allows me that quiet environment, to allow myself the freedom to just be me. When out in the bee yard, there are no distractions, no pressure to move faster and no interruptions. I can move at my own pace, enjoy the fresh air, calm and freedom. My body is allowed to relax. Beekeeping started from an impulse, but it has helped me discover me. So although our beekeeping story is just beginning, we are excited to see where it takes us!

Eby Manor

Eby Manor A2 Golden Guernsey milk is produced on our local family farm in Waterloo, by 60 registered milking Guernsey cows. Our Guernsey milk and dairy products are 100% A2 which is non inflammatory, allowing many people with milk sensitivities to consume our products without any adverse effects. In order to keep up with demand, we also receive milk contributions from Mar-Ley Farms. Both our cows and Mar-Ley Farms cows have all tested 100% A2.

Garden of Apologies

After years of playing in punk rock bands and living in cities near venues, in 2014 I found myself married and living in the Burlington suburbs. I thought backyard gardening would be a relaxing hobby that paid off with free food. Unfortunately, we had a family of raccoons living there also and they destroyed everything except for a ghost pepper that I was growing as a fun novelty.

I made a hot sauce with it and brought it to work. The bottle passed around from table to table until one guy came over and asked for more. It was a 23 bottle batch, and it was gone in 2 days.

The Kabbespatch

A small family farm selling meats with a focus on beef, pork, and chicken. Located in Drayton, Ontario.

Joe's Home Farm

We started small and slowly grew over the past few years. With the changes that came in early 2020, we made a decision to invest more in our land and and grow our farm to offer more farm fresh products to more local customers.

We are now growing chickens under Ontario’s Artisanal Chicken Program. We offer fresh chicken, free from GMO’s, hormones and antibiotics year round as well as pasture raised through the warmer months. Other areas of focus are our Spring plant sale, farm to table fresh produce throughout harvesting season, and a big pumpkin patch for Fall festivities.
